‘BLUE LIGHT WAY’ – Whitby to Saltburn

Phil Spencer (Cleveland Police) has organised this event.  He says, “it is vital that we support all of our emergency services staff and personnel with their own mental health and wellbeing. We are passionate in challenging discrimination and smashing the stigma around mental health, both in the emergency services and the wider community. This is the third year we have taken on the challenge of the ‘mental health torch relay’ walk. This year is more important than ever as in January we lost a very dear colleague – a Blue Light Champion – and this walk is in Richie’s memory.  Redcar and Cleveland Mind have supported us over the last couple of years and have been our ‘Blue Light Programme’ providers. We would like to support them – to support the local community – in helping with their mental health and well-being initiatives and programmes”.
