To apply for a FREE place on any of these courses please click on the course title and a form will appear.  After completing the application form a member of our team will contact you by email to confirm your place, this can take up to 7 days.
Please note that a recharge is in place for late course cancellations and no-shows. (£45 per day for no-shows and cancellations made less than 7 working days before a course).
All trainees must attend the entire course to complete the training.

Adult Mental Health First Aid (2 day) course is designed to teach people how to support a person developing a difficulty with their mental health or in a mental health crisis. The first aid is given to provide comfort and preserve life until appropriate help is received or until the crisis resolves.

27th & 28th November 2018 9.00 am - 5.00 pm at Newtown Community Centre, Durham Road, Stockton.

3rd & 4th December 2018 9.00 am - 5.00 pm in Middlesbrough (venue to be confirmed)

12th & 13th December 2018 9.00 am - 5.00 pm at R&C Mind, West Dyke Road, Redcar.

Adult Mental Health First Aid (Half Day) course is an introductory mental health awareness course that will enable you to gain a wider understanding of some issues surrounding mental health and how to work effectively with people experiencing mental health problems.

A LIFE WORTH LIVING

A Life Worth Living is a course available for people who are living or working in Teesside.

Suicide prevention training is a half day (4 hour) training session which utilises case studies, skills practice and group discussion to enhance the learning process.

Suicide Prevention:

equipping our community with the knowledge and skills to reduce the pain for those of us who are experiencing suicidal thoughts

Learning objectives:

  • to train people who are best placed in the heart of communities to offer support and information to people who are experiencing suicidal thoughts

  • to support local people to identify "a life worth living" and equip local workers and volunteers with the confidence, skills and knowledge they need to offer support and information to a potentially suicidal person, and provide them with the knowledge to signpost to local services and access the relevant pathway of support.

Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training (2 day) is a course designed to help people learn how to recognise the signs of suicidal thoughts and how to intervene to prevent the immediate risk of suicide. The course is designed to help all in communities to become more willing, ready and able to help persons at risk of suicide
